Sprout Valley Days
★★★★☆ 4.2
Sprout Valley Days is comfort food. You inherit a small plot, plant things, tend animals, and slowly befriend the villagers, all at whatever pace suits you. There are no energy bars forcing you to stop, which already puts it ahead of a lot of mobile sims.
The loop is familiar but tuned well: planting and watering are a quick drag gesture, crafting stations are easy to reach, and seasons change the available crops to keep you planning ahead. Villager conversations are short but surprisingly warm, and I ended up caring about who I gave gifts to.
It can feel thin if you binge it, since the content reveals slowly. Played a little each day, though, it's a lovely ritual. I kept opening it just to check on my chickens.
