About

Inkvale Play started as a group chat where four friends kept swapping screenshots of weird little games nobody else was talking about. At some point the recommendations got good enough that we figured we should write them down properly, and the site grew from there.

We focus on indie and small-studio mobile releases because that's where the surprises live. A two-person team working out of a spare room will try ideas a big publisher would never greenlight, and when it works the result sticks with you.

Every game that gets a review here is one we've installed and played for real. No reviewing from a trailer, no copy-pasting a press kit. If a game bored us by level three, we say so and explain why.

We pick titles across all genres on purpose. Puzzles get plenty of coverage elsewhere, so you'll also find racing, strategy, adventure and the occasional oddball simulation sitting side by side in our catalogue.
